Scale

In this project we want to build an electronic scale, similar to the ones used in kitchens. Just like those it should have functionality like calibration, setting the zero value and measuring the weight. However as we know how it is constructed and how to program the microcontroller, we can also write programs that extend the usual functionality. We have done this by programming a Counting Coins tool.

Constructing this project 2 boards have to be build. One is for the measuring functionality of the scale and the other one for displaying the current output. Furthermore a special case is needed that protects the underlying electronics and sepperates the tray from the main case.

The electronic circuit is based on the PICAXE18 microcontroller.
