Calibration and Control

Calibration

After you load the program into the scale, you will not know the gain of the load cell and amplifiers. To find this, you need to calibrate the scale. You will require a known weight of 1 kg. The more accurate your 1 kg weight is, the more accurate the scale will be.

Turn the scale on and weight for an "S" (that is displayed without the middle dash). Put 1kg weight on the tray and hit the push button. Wait until the display shows a flipped "C" and remove the weight now. Hit the push button again and when the Display shows a "0" the scale is calibrated. You can test the calibration when you put a 1kg and a 1g weight onto the tray. The scale should messure "1001" Gram. If you ever want to recalibrate the scale you can press the push button during the start up. Hold it until the flipped "S" is displayed and all the settings are deleted then.

Resetting the Zero Value

If you want to set or reset the zero value of the Scale simply put the weight you want for zero value on the Scale. Press the push button and hold it until the Scale shows the "S". When the display switches to show a flipped "C" you can remove the weight again and the new Zero value is stored.

Scale Control

Control of the Scale is accomplished through one push button. The Scale has an automatic mass detect mode included. If you put a mass onto the tray it will automatically recalculate the mass value and reset the display. But it cannot detect masses lighter than 100g. If you put such a light mass on the Scale, press the push button to force a recalculation of the weight.
